Dear Mr Scowen,
Such fond, happy memories of time spent at The Friday Club, from its formation around 1971/72. Lots of great visits, and activities.
MAYC weekends away in London, Plymouth, Torquay, fantastic times. Brilliant outward bound holidays in Balmaha, Scotland. Volleyball, and the weekly Coke & crisps, a treat for us in the early seventies. It sounds unbelievable now.
Carnival floats, and singing Christmas carols on a trailer, pulled by Paul in his tractor, around Chard. Great times, Mr Scowen, and you were there for all of it.
With deep affection we send our condolences and warmest regards to Mandy, Ian and all the family.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
